Seowoo (Alyssa) Kim, originally from South Korea, is a medical student at Tulane University School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology at Tulane University, where she engaged in palliative care and metastatic cancer research. Her current interests lie in general surgery, with a particular focus on global surgery. Alyssa is also passionate about mentoring and supporting others and is happy to help anyone interested in finding research opportunities, publishing manuscripts, and pursing medicine as an international student in general.
