Raquel Valdes is a second year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She is from Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. Prior to living in Wisconsin she studied biochemistry in Mexico City after graduating from Pomona College with a B.A. in Neuroscience and a minor in Latin American Studies. Raquel is passionate about community service work and her interests include women’s health, reproductive rights and mentoring other pre-health students. I enjoy working out, reading and listening to reggaeton.
