Rachel is a dental student from Jakarta, Indonesia pursuing her D.D.S. at Columbia University College of Medicine (Class of 2024). She attended high school in Claremont, California, and graduated from Wellesley College in 2019 with a major in Biochemistry. While an undergraduate, she completed her thesis research on periodontal regeneration at the Lu Lab at MIT and played goalkeeper for Wellesley Club Water Polo. At CDM, she is President of Class Council, student leader for the International Collaboration Exchange Program, and 2021-2022 Deputy Commissioner for District 2 ADEA COSRF. She was also a 2021 Summer Fellow for The Tamer Center for Social Enterprise at Columbia Business School and the Global Pop Program at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she interned at Praava Health based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In her free time, she enjoys creating short-form video content and illustrations, which she shares on Instagram (@Utoothmo).
