Pranav Somasekhar

Pranav is a first-generation, Indian medical student at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He received his B.A in Molecular and Cellular Biology and B.S in Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology from U.C. Berkeley. During his time in college, Pranav was an undergrad researcher at the Coates Lab and helped characterize novel anaerobic bacteria with applications in bioremediation. He also spent his time volunteering at the UCSF Cancer Resource Center and worked as an EMT with Rock Medicine and the Berkeley Medical Reserve Corps. Following his graduation, Pranav worked as a medical scribe with Augmedix for 10 months, gaining valuable primary care experience. During his free time, Pranav loves listening to audiobooks/podcasts and manages a fantasy football league.
