Monica was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She did her undergrad in Universidad Interamericana de Fajardo where she did her major in Biology with a minor in General Chemistry. She was on the Dean’s list for three consecutive years. Before starting Medical School, she moved to San Antonio, TX. She then proceeded to peruse her medical studies in UHSA, Antigua and Barbuda. She completed her first year of medicine there. Then came hurricane Irma and Maria. She later transferred to UAG in Mexico where she is currently finishing her MD.
