Mihai Dumbrava
About
Mihai is a first-generation student at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine originally from Romania. He grew up in Canada and received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Pathology of Human Disease from Western University in London, Ontario. Through the Scholar’s Electives program at Western University, Mihai contributed to research in familial Parkinson’s disease throughout his degree. He spent a summer in Switzerland at the University of Lausanne where he studied Triple Negative Breast Cancer therapeutic development. Following his graduation, Mihai worked as a Program Assistant of the Shad High School Summer program at Memorial University in Newfoundland and spent a year pursuing Nephrology research at the Hospital for Sick Children of the University of Toronto.
