Midori is a first-year MD student at Yale School of Medicine. She received her BA in comparative literature (medical humanities) and biology from Columbia University and her MPhil in medical anthropology from the University of Oxford. Her research interests are in narrative medicine, mental health, chronic illness, disability studies, and healthcare transition. Midori’s passion lies in addressing social/structural determinants of health to achieve global health equity. She aspires to continue serving marginalized groups as a physician anthropologist working for international humanitarian organizations.
