Freda was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. She first moved to the United States at 16 for high school in Tappahannock, Virginia (Chris Brown's hometown). She attended the University of Virginia where she studied Cognitive Science with a concentration in Computer Science. After she receiving her degree, she worked as an IT Business Analyst on a smoking cessation program with the National Cancer Institute for three years. She started medical school in 2021 at Nova Southeastern University, where she is currently pursuing her D.O. degree alongside a Master of Science in Health Informatics. Freda is interested in improving healthcare through the use of technology and data informatics. She is also interested in global health and currently volunteers with an NGO focused on global health initiatives.
