About
After graduating from high school in Ghana, Elorm crossed the Atlantic to Western Massachusetts
where he studied Neuroscience at Amherst College. While in college, he volunteered as a treasurer in the
Charles Drew Health Professionals Society, as a summer research assistant in Neurology at Mount Sinai
Icahn School of Medicine and in Thoracic surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, completed a
Neuroscience thesis in the Trapani Lab, and was a thrower on the college Track and Field team. After
graduating in 2019, he moved to Brooklyn and worked in a telehealth company before matriculating at
Columbia VP&S the year after as part of the Columbia-Bassett program. His current interests are in
neurosurgery, neurology, public health improvement in resource-limited settings, and healthcare
management. Hobbies he enjoys include exploring new places, fitness, reading, video games, soccer,
and occasionally playing the keyboard.
