After spending nearly 15 years between the U.S. and Asia, she graduated from Columbia University in 2020 with a B.A. in Neuroscience. My international background and experiences across Singapore, South Korea, and the U.S. have shaped the way she thinks about medical education, healthcare delivery, and patient care—from both clinical and systems-level perspectives.

Before starting medical school, she took four gap years to explore clinical and research opportunities, which ultimately reaffirmed my commitment to medicine. At GW, she has found a home in both clinical training and innovation—particularly through the Clinical Practice Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CPIE) track, where she is exploring the intersection of medicine, healthcare strategy, and patient-centered technology.

One of the most meaningful parts of her journey has been connecting with others navigating this process. As a mentor, I hope to provide transparent, supportive guidance to international and F1 students—whether you’re applying, interviewing, or adjusting to med school life in the U.S. There’s no single “right” path, and she is here to help you stay grounded in your strengths while navigating the challenges ahead.
