About

I'm a first-generation medical student at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. I graduated with Honors from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors in Medical Science. During undergrad, I worked as an RA for three years helping foster a tight-knit and welcoming environment to first-year students. I love soccer and coached U12 boys and girls for 2 summers in undergrad, and I'm currently coaching U12 boys in med school. I co-led and volunteered with my undergrad science council service committee; together we contributed our time to support local food backs, and shelters. We also organized fundraisers to support local charitable organizations.
During my gap year, I worked as a cashier at a local bookstore, and also pursued a diploma in clinical trials management. After the didactics were completed, I did an internship with LMC Manna who was conducting clinical trials for the Medicago COVID vaccine.
In terms of research in Medical School, so far I've written a manuscript looking at prevention of weight gain in people who quit smoking.
Right now I'm interested in applying to residency in Internal Medicine, and I'm on the E-board for the IM Interest Group.
