Anastasia grew up in Moscow, Russia, and moved to the US at 17 to study. After completing her undergraduate degree in Biology/Pre-medicine at Juniata College, PA, she worked as a research associate at Yale University School of Medicine for two years. Anastasia received rejections from multiple US medical schools before moving across the Atlantic to do her research master’s in Cancer Biology at Imperial College London and finally gaining admission to medical school in 2020. Anastasia is currently a first year medical student on the Graduate Entry Medicine course at the University of Oxford. Anastasia is passionate about helping international students navigate the higher education system of the US and the UK. Following her passion, she founded her own start-up focused on assisting international students, primarily from the Russian-speaking countries, with university admission processes in the US and the UK.
