Mona grew up in Beijing, China and she is an internal medicine resident at UCLA. She graduated in 2021 from UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate B.S. in Biology from Trinity College. Mona has extensive leadership experience. During college, Mona was the President of the International House; during medical school, Mona founded the MDivas Dance Group for the medical school community and LA COVID Volunteers to aid in the battle against the pandemic. Mona has also explored many types of research during her college and medical school years and has several publications and has presented her research projects at international conferences in the field of Neonatology, Oncology, Infectious Diseases, and Cardiology. She has also been elected into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Mona is interested in pursuing subspecialty training after completing her internal medicine training.
