Judy Hess
About
Judy is a Canadian medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine-Harlem (TouroCOM). She graduated from Tufts University with a major in Biology and Community Health. During her time in undergrad, she worked at The Allen Discovery Center, which focuses on reading and writing the Morphogenetic Code. Her personal project investigated the creation and perpetuation of double ventral nerve cords in D. Japonica, contributing to wild-type colony maintenance protocol. After college, Judy worked at the Beltran Laboratory, at Weill Cornell Medicine. There, she was involved with establishing and maintaining novel patient-derived neuroendocrine prostate organnoids (3D cell culture). Her research led to multiple collaborations and publications. Judy now attends TouroCOM, and loves living in New York City.
